History RPMG was founded in 1996 by two producer owned ethanol plants in Minnesota that wanted to gain economies of scale in marketing their ethanol production. From these humble beginnings of one employee and an ethanol volume of 70 million gallons annually, the company has had steady growth, and has relocated its corporate office to Shakopee, MN.  Today, RPMG is owned by 11 producer owned ethanol plants, markets about 1 billion gallons of ethanol annually, and has over 25 employees. In 2008, RPMG added Distillers Grain and Corn Oil Merchandising to its service portfolio.   Distillers Grain volume is on track to reach 1 million tons annually by the end of 2009.
